We are currently seeking a Sr Test Automation Engineer - Guidewire - REMOTE to join our team! This role is fully remote with occasional collaboration required onsite in Montreal.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Design, develop, and maintainrobust test automation frameworksfor web and API layers usingSelenium with Java and TestNG.
• Automatefunctional, regression, and smoke test casesfor insurance applications includingPolicy, Billing, Claims, and Portals.
• Integrate test suites intoCI/CD pipelines(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps) to support continuous testing and deployment.
• Developdata-driven, keyword-driven, and hybrid test automation frameworksusing best practices such asPage Object Model (POM).
• PerformAPI automationusingRest Assured,Postman, orSwagger.
• ExecuteSnowflake data migrationvalidation and API testing activities across cloud-based insurance systems.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and business analysts to implementshift-left testingin Agile sprints.
• Participate inperformance, security, and accessibility testingas needed.
• Analyze test automation failures, performroot cause analysis, and enhance framework stability.
• Managetest repositories, source control (Git, GitHub, Bitbucket), and ensure traceability viaJira, Xray, and Confluence.
• Generatetest execution reports and dashboardsusingAllure,Extent Reports, andJenkins dashboards.
• Actively engage inAgile ceremoniesincluding sprint planning, grooming, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Demonstrate anownership mindset, collaborating closely with technical and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 7+ years of strong test automation experience across web and API layers.
• Proficient inJava,Selenium WebDriver,TestNG,Rest Assured,Maven/Gradle, andCI/CD tools(Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Strong understanding ofJSON, XML, and data-driven automation techniques.
• Experience withversion control tools(Git, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Skilled inreporting and analyticsusing Allure, Extent Reports, and Jenkins dashboards.
• Familiarity withDocker,AWS, orAzurefor cloud-based testing and execution environments.
• Experience in P&C Insurance , especiallyAuto and Home lines.
• Strong exposure toAgile/Scrumdevelopment methodologies.

Mandatory Technical Expertise:

• Extensive knowledge inEarnix,AWS Services,Guidewire Cloud Console,Guidewire Product Model,Jutro platform, andGT tool stack.
• Experience inSnowflake Data Migrationvalidation andAPI Testing.

Preferred Skills:

• Guidewire Ace Certified – with hands‑on testing experience inPolicyCenterandBillingCenter.
• Experience inDownstream data validations.
• Familiarity withperformance and security testingframeworks.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
• Exposure totest management and traceability tools(Jira, Xray, Confluence).
• Passion for automation, continuous integration, and process improvement.

Travel:

Minimal; primarily remote with occasional on‑site collaboration.

Degree:

Bachelor’s degree inComputer Science,Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
