Job summary

MDA Space is seeking a Sr Recruiter for a 12-month contract, ideally based in our Montreal office. The role supports Canada-wide TA activities with strong French-English bilingual requirements and extensive experience in technical recruiting.

You will attract, assess and hire candidates, build diverse pipelines, and manage offers and negotiations while partnering with managers and the TA team to sustain MDA Space’s growth in the space industry.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high-tech environment.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Experience with technical recruiting and networking in the tech industry.
• Strong collaboration with managers, interviewers and hiring teams throughout process.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and provide consultative search support.
• Based in Montreal with on-site Monday-Thursday and remote Fridays.

MDA Space is seeking a Sr Recruiter (12 Month Contract) to join our dynamic Talent Acquisition Team ideally based at our Montreal office.

Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for attracting, assessing and hiring the right candidates in a timely fashion. Specifically:
  • Identify hiring needs and search requirements and effectively match candidates with the roles in which they will be most successful
  • Participate in the creation and implementation of staffing strategies to provide a qualified and diverse candidate pool
  • Build relationships with talent in the marketplace. Source passive candidates through networking and direct sourcing
  • Evaluate skill level, conduct efficient and professional interview process and drive offer process, including reference checks, salary recommendations, negotiations and closing of candidates
  • Communicate effectively with the hiring manager and interview team to ensure preparedness during the interview process. Share and exchange information with all levels of management.
  • Provide a great candidate experience. Promote MDA employer brand. Propose and implement ongoing improvements to recruitment efforts.
  • Participate in strategic Human Resources activities as directed

Requirements (experience/skills):

• Related post-secondary education and 8+ years of recruiting experience, preferably in a high-tech environment
• Strong written and verbal skills in both French and English as this role can support TA Activities across all MDA Space locations across Canada
• Technical recruiting experience in the computer and engineering related field and experience networking in the technology industry
• Communicative team player with outstanding interpersonal skills
• Experience partnering with managers, interviewers and hiring teams through the hiring process
• Knowledge and experience in a wide range of current recruiting practices and techniques
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and provide strong consultative skills throughout the search process
• Self-directed, persistent and highly motivated with a strong sense of urgency
• Attention to detail and follow through is important
• Proactive, results-oriented, good business sense and strong organizational skills
• This role is based in our Montreal location. We work in office from Monday- Thursday with the option to work from home on Friday.
