Senior Staff Accountant

We are proud to provide accounting and assurance services, personal tax preparation, tax planning, cross-border tax services, estate planning and compliance, as well as consulting and advisory services. Successful candidate will apply firm practices to perform various types of engagements, including audit, review and tax return preparation.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Preparation of year-end working paper files and financial statements in audit and review engagements.
  • Preparation of year-end working paper files and financial statements in compilation engagements.
  • Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns, and other types of returns as required.
  • Working closely with staff at varying levels from Staff Accountant to Partner.
  • Engaging with clients, as needed, to gather required information to complete assigned tasks.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements
  • 3+ years of public accounting firm experience.
  • Canadian CPA designation.
  • Knowledge of ASPE, ASNPO, Income Tax Act and Excise Tax Act.
  • Being a self-starter and results driven.
  • Highly effective written, oral and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to plan, prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge of CaseWare is required.
  • Knowledge of Taxprep or similar tax preparation software, iFirm and Doc.it is an asset.
  • Access to a vehicle is an asset.
