What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead and scale the engineering team responsible for Hopper’s ad platform, focusing on sponsored listings and audience targeting
- Collaborate with product and business leaders to define the roadmap and prioritize initiatives
- Build a high‑performance team culture, recruiting and mentoring engineering talent
- Ensure systems are robust, scalable, and designed for rapid iteration in high‑volume ad placements
- Innovate on the delivery, measurement, and monetization of travel ads
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3+ years in managing high‑performing engineering teams
- Proven success in building complex, distributed systems with high scalability and reliability
- Strong background in ad tech, retail media, or large‑scale data/ML‑driven systems
- Track record of collaborating with product and business teams to deliver measurable outcomes
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
