Position Overview : We are seeking a talented SharePoint Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing customized solutions within the SharePoint platform to meet business requirements. The candidate should have a strong understanding of SharePoint architecture, SharePoint Online (Office 365), SharePoint Server (on-premises), and related technologies. The role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements, architect solutions, develop code, and provide ongoing support and maintenance.

Security Clearance Requirement: Due to our contract with the Federal Government, you will need Reliability Status Clearance (Enhanced Level B) before starting. This includes fingerprinting, criminal record check, credit check, and residency in Canada for at least 5 years with Permanent Resident or Citizenship status.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Understanding SharePoint architecture, features, and capabilities, including versions like SharePoint Online and on-premises
  • Managing SharePoint security models, permissions, and access control
  • Using SharePoint Designer for specific tasks (note: less common but still useful)
  • Modifying Classic Templates (note: old technology, no longer needed)

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Proven experience as a SharePoint Developer or similar role
  • Deep knowledge of SharePoint architecture, including SharePoint Online and Server
  • Proficiency with development tools like SharePoint Designer, Visual Studio, and Power Platform
  • Strong understanding of workflows, forms, web parts, and components
  • Experience integrating SharePoint with other systems
  • Ability to convert business needs into technical solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills
