Job summary

Magellan Aerospace Corporation in Winnipeg is seeking a Senior Rocket Systems Engineer to lead propulsion system design and development for both new and existing products. The role involves overseeing technical documentation, project management, and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.

The candidate will contribute to analytical studies, proposals, and customer support, with a focus on solid propellant rocket motors and energetic material systems.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education from a recognized University or College; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • EGM membership or eligibility for professional accreditation
  • Eligible for Security Clearance to NATO Secret
  • 10 years minimum experience in the design and production of propulsion, energetic material and/or defence products
  • Experience with aerospace quality systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, organization and time management skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer support with respect to the deployment, maintenance, and operation of propulsion products and related systems.

  • Support the technical definition of new and ongoing production of existing propulsion and other energetic material products.
  • Undertake the design and development of new propulsion and other energetic material products and related technologies.
  • Prepare, review and approve technical documentation.
  • Direct the activities of other engineers and technologists.
  • Manage projects and programs.
