Job summary

CDW in Canada is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will independently lead medium-to-large, complex IT engagements from inception to completion, spanning hybrid infrastructure, cyber security, cyber risk, and business transformation initiatives.

You will partner with SMEs, Solution Architects, Sales and cross-functional teams to own the project, drive scope, schedule, budget, and risk management, and guide client outcomes while collaborating on RFP responses and pre-sales efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or computer science.
• An active Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent credentials, e.g. Certified Scrum Master (CSM).
• Over eight (8) years progressive experience in IT Program/Project Management.
• Minimum four (4) years managing Enterprise IT Infrastructure/Cloud/Security Projects.
• Proficiency with MS Office, O365, Salesforce, Certinia or other PSA software.
• Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary.
• Experience as an Enterprise IT consultant for an OEM or VAR.

In this key role you will independently manage medium-to-large sized, complex, engagements for our clients, leading all aspects of service delivery from inception to completion. Typical projects include deploying mainstream, and emerging technologies within hybrid-infrastructure, cyber security, cyber risk, and business transformation verticals.

As a Sr. Project Manager, you will partner with some of the most dynamic, strategic, and talented professionals working in IT today. Leveraging strong relationships with SME, Solution Architects, Sales, and other members of cross-functional teams, you'll act as a point-person and project advocate to ensure successful project completion and results.

What you'll do

• Independently manage medium-to-large sized complex project
• Develop project communications plan and execute it utilizing existing templates as a baseline
• Establish, monitor/ control, adjust, and communicate tasks and associated schedule to project team
• Ensure scope is delivered in full and with quality throughout the project life cycle
• Assume responsibility for project profitability and monitor/ control, interpret, and communicate project budget
• Identify, document, track, and communicate project risks/ issues and lead in bringing to resolution
• Lead and facilitate internal/ external meetings, adapting communication style/medium to fit audience needs
• Assist with creation of RFPs/ proposals responses related to hardware, software, and services
• Assist with other pre-sales initiatives as required

What you need to succeed

Must-have

• - Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or computer science
• - An active Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent industry recognized credentials - ie.
  Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certifications
• - Over Eight (8) years progressive experience in IT Program/Project Management and/or IT services management (experience in multiple solution areas)
• - Minimum Four (4) years managing Enterprise IT Infrastructure/ Cloud/ Security Projects/ Programs
• - Proficiency with tools such as MSFT Suite and O365, Salesforce, Certinia or other PSA software
• - Ability to work weekends and/or off hours as necessary to meet clients' needs
• - Relevant experience working as an Enterprise IT consultant for an OEM or VAR

Nice-to-have

• Other industry standard certifications in project management and/or ITSM

We determine individual pay within a given range based on a candidate's prior experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. This approach allows us to offer competitive and equitable salaries that reflect the value and responsibilities of each role at CDW. Salaries are based on a 40-hour workweek and paid on a bi-weekly payroll schedule.

Pay range: $103,000- $143,000, depending on experience and skill set
