Job summary

CIBC in Toronto is seeking a Sr. Project Coordinator to help deliver enterprise-wide transformation, regulatory and compliance programs. You will support project managers, maintain schedules, manage artifacts, and ensure governance processes are followed.

You can work remotely with occasional on-site days, collaborating with business and technology teams to ensure accurate reporting, risk management and timely milestone tracking.

Qualifications

• Experience with Microsoft Office applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Project Management.
• Familiarity with Planview and PRF is an asset.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Project Coordination – Support Project and Program Managers throughout all phases of the project management lifecycle. Develop, manage, and control schedules; maintain project repository, artifacts, minutes, presentations, and decks.
• Tracking & Reporting – Track milestones, response/resolution plans, change requests, issues & risks; manage documents in SharePoint, Planview, and PRF.
• Project Financials – Track and reconcile financials; update estimates; support monthly & quarterly program accruals and reporting.
• Communication – Produce clear business documents and articulate information effectively.
• Analytical Thinking – Strong problem-solving and decision-making; interpret requirements and identify risks.
• Lead Projects – Support leading Projects & Initiatives and ensure work packages are delivered on time and within budget.

What you’ll be doing

You will be joining CIBC’s Enterprise Programs Delivery team,with a focus ondelivering enterprise-wide transformation, regulatory and compliance programs. As the Sr. Project Coordinator, you will ensure that the necessary project control procedures and standards are executed for assigned programs and projects. You will work closely with the project managers, business and technology teams, and other project team members to ensure project governance processes are effectively managed, work artifacts are appropriately leveraged and practices adhered to.

You can effectively perform all work activities remotely, and will only be required to be on-site on an occasional basis (1-3 days per week). This is subject to business needs and there may be additional on-site days required.

How you’ll succeed

• Project Coordination – Support Project and Program Managers throughout all phases of the project management lifecycle. Develop, manage, and control schedules by making continuous updates and communicating timelines, escalating issues when necessary. Supportcreation and maintenanceof the project repository, artifacts, minutes, presentations, and management decks.

• Tracking & Reporting – Track progress on milestones, response/resolution plans, change requests, issues & risks. Process information with a high degree of accuracy with attention to the details. Coordinate flow & management of documents for team and perform updates/reviews as required (using tools such as SharePoint, Plainview, Project Reporting Financials (PRF)).

• Project Financials – Track and reconcile financials ensuring resolution of anomalies. Update and reconcile ongoing estimates, make recommendations, and escape when necessary. Support monthly & quarterly program accruals and financial reporting.

• Communication - Well developed written & verbal communication skills. Ability to produce a variety of business documents with clarity of thought and orderliness of presentation. Ability to articulate factual and conceptual information which require detailed explanation or interpretation

• Analytical Thinking – Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills. Your experience should be sufficient to interpret requirements and identify risks to deliver accurate and complete requirements to both internal and external clients.

• Lead Projects - You will support leading Projects & Initiatives and ensure that requirement work packages are delivered on time, within budget, and with quality, as agreed to by the Project/Program Manager, Client, and/or Sponsor of each initiative.
