Position Description:

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and data models that deliver actionable business insights.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective reporting solutions.
• Connect Power BI to various data sources (e.g., SQL databases, APIs, Excel, cloud storage) and ensure efficient data extraction and refresh processes.
• Build robust data models with well-defined relationships, hierarchies, and calculated measures using DAX.
• Optimize dashboards for performance, usability, scalability, and user experience.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with enterprise data governance and quality standards.
• Implement and manage row-level security (RLS), role-based access, and report version control.
• Support end users through troubleshooting, documentation, and training to promote Power BI adoption across teams.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Senior Level (7–9 years) of experience in Business Intelligence development, with at least 4+ years focused on Power BI.
• Proven experience developing and maintaining Power BI solutions end-to-end (data modeling, measures, DAX, and visualization).
• Strong command of Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including workspace management and publishing workflows.
• Solid understanding of data visualization best practices, business storytelling, and user experience design.
• Experience optimizing report performance and managing Power BI datasets.
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into insightful, user-friendly reports.
• Strong SQL skills for querying, joins, and performance tuning.
• Experience with data modeling in relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Experience integrating Power BI with Python or R for advanced analytics.
• Exposure to cloud-based BI environments (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Git-based version control, and DevOps practices for BI deployments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehousing, and automation of reporting workflows.
• Proficiency with Power Query (M language) for data transformation.
• Knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and compliance standards.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000–$135,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
