Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support the CEO in setting and communicating company strategy.

  • Manage the CEO’s calendar, meetings, and priorities.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, and supporting information.
  • Coordinate logistics for key meetings, including travel planning.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Office of the CEO and HR/finance teams.
  • Support onboarding for senior stakeholders visiting EC; maintain organized files.
  • Plan team retreats and HR-related activities.
  • Champion modern productivity tools to streamline executive workflows.
  • Advocate automation and AI tools to scale the Office of the CEO.

We serve clients in the multi-residential, commercial, and industrial sectors to bring the financial resources and technical expertise needed to deliver energy and net-zero projects in their buildings.

As the Sr. Manager / Manager at the Office of the CEO you will play a pivotal role as the right hand to the CEO, driving cross-functional initiatives, researching and planning strategic activities, and improving operational efficiency by ensuring alignment across teams. You will help prioritize projects, support strategic planning, and improve decision-making processes, especially as EC quickly scales across Canada and into new international markets.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Support the CEO in setting and communicating company strategy
  • Research, develop, and support strategic initiatives, including new market entry, product development, and M&A opportunities
  • Prepare and facilitate cross-functional planning sessions
  • Monitor progress on strategic initiatives, drive accountability, and identify key risk and opportunities
Executive Communications & Decision Support
  • Prepare internal and external presentations, investor updates, and board materials
  • Synthesize information, perform financial, legal, operational, people, impact, and other analysis, and make recommendations for key business decisions
  • Act as a liaison between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders
  • Ensure the CEO is prepared for key meetings and decisions and that resulting actions and commitments are followed through
CEO Office Coordination & Support
  • Manage and coordinate the CEO’s calendar, meetings, and priorities
  • Triage incoming requests and information requiring CEO attention and determine appropriate follow-up
  • Prepare meeting agendas, briefing materials, and supporting information
  • Track action items, commitments, and follow-ups arising from CEO meetings
  • Coordinate logistics for key internal and external meetings, including travel planning
Administrative Support
  • Provide general administrative support to the Office of the CEO and the organization, liaising with HR, finance and other teams as needed
  • Support onboarding and scheduling for senior stakeholders visiting EC (investors, partners, advisors, board members)
  • Maintain an organized digital and physical environment (files, records, templates, and basic office logistics)
  • Plan and organize team retreats and support HR activities and employee engagement initiatives as needed
Digital Tools, Automation & AI
  • Use and champion modern productivity tools (calendar, task management, document collaboration, CRM, etc.) to streamline executive workflows
  • Adopt new software, automation, and AI tools introduced to scale the Office of the CEO’s capacity
  • Provide feedback on the tool stack, helping the leadership team continuously improve processes and automation
  • Act as a business-side integrator across the organization, working with the CEO, departments, and IT to optimize systems, information, decision-making and workflows
Qualifications & Characteristics

Knowledge and Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, or business management
  • Experience in infrastructure, finance, energy, or real estate is a strong asset
  • Exceptional project management and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Strong practical fluency with modern business software, including document management, collaboration, workflow, meeting, and information-management tools; able to learn new platforms quickly and use them effectively in day-to-day work
  • Comfortable using AI-enabled business tools responsibly to organize information, synthesize meetings and documents, prepare materials, track actions, and improve personal and team productivity
  • Demonstrated judgment in handling confidential business information and following established policies for data management, records, access, and AI-enabled tools

Communication & Negotiation

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to negotiate and develop transactions
  • Exceptional written and presentation skills for multiple audiences - executives, vendors, public stakeholders, etc
  • Fluency in English required; French is a strong asset, particularly for supporting work in Quebec and engaging with French-speaking stakeholders
