YOUR IMPACT

The Senior IT Project Manager is a seasoned project delivery leader responsible for successfully managing complex, enterprise-wide technology initiatives from inception through completion. This role provides end-to-end ownership of project execution, including strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, risk and issue management, governance oversight, budget and schedule control, and transparent communication of project progress, decisions, and outcomes. Partnering closely with Portfolio Managers, executive sponsors, Domain Leads, Enterprise Architects, technical teams, and business stakeholders, the Senior IT Project Manager translates business objectives into actionable project roadmaps and drives delivery excellence. By balancing technical, operational, and business priorities, this individual ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards while achieving measurable business value and organizational objectives.

What The Role Offers
  • Manage complex IT projects from initiation through deployment and closure, ensuring delivery within approved scope, schedule, budget, and quality expectations.
  • Translate sponsor objectives, project requirements, and business needs into clear project charters, delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and execution approaches.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and delivery partners to drive execution, resolve blockers, and maintain alignment with project objectives and expected business outcomes.
  • Develop and maintain integrated project plans, including workstreams, milestones, dependencies, resource assumptions, financial tracking, and delivery constraints.
  • Apply PMO methodology and Project Navigator practices to ensure required documentation, approvals, decision logs, change controls, and governance artifacts are complete and current.
  • Support benefits definition and tracking by partnering with requestors and sponsors to clarify expected outcomes, success measures, and business value for assigned projects.
  • Prepare clear, decision-oriented reporting for sponsors, Portfolio Managers, project governance forums, and stakeholders, highlighting delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and required actions.
  • Proactively identify risks and issues, develop mitigation plans, elevate appropriately, and drive timely resolution across business and technical teams.
  • Serve as the primary project delivery contact for sponsors, Domain Leads, technical teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and PMO leadership.
  • Communicate complex project information in a concise, audience-appropriate manner, ensuring stakeholders understand progress, risks, decisions, trade-offs, and next steps.
  • Lead without direct authority by creating accountability, building trust, and enabling collaboration across cross-functional project teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned, identifying process gaps, and supporting PMO standards, templates, reporting practices, and tool adoption.
What You Need To Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience considered.
  • 6+ years of progressive project management experience, preferably managing complex, cross-functional IT projects in a matrixed enterprise environment.
  • Proven ability to deliver complex projects involving multiple stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, dependencies, risks, and competing priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycle management, governance, change control, risk and issue management, financial tracking, project reporting, and stakeholder communication.
  • Well-versed in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery approaches.
  • PMP certification preferred; PMI-ACP, ITIL, PRINCE2, or other relevant certifications considered an asset.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, project planning tools, PPM/reporting platforms, and collaboration technologies.
  • Interest in AI learning and practical application of AI-enabled tools to improve planning, reporting, risk visibility, project controls, and delivery outcomes.
