Job summary

SiTime is seeking a Sr Finance Manager to partner with BU Finance leaders, owning planning, forecasting, close and decision support. You will translate complex data into actionable insights, support resource allocation and expense management, and guide investment prioritization across planning cycles and long-term strategy.

You will build scalable models, manage variance analyses, and drive cost efficiencies while maintaining compliance with Canada tax policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years in FP&A, business finance, management reporting, or financial analysis; tech/semiconductor experience a plus.
  • Strong understanding of P&L concepts and operating expense drivers.
  • Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas, pivots, and Power Query; ability to build scalable, auditable models.
  • Excellent written and verbal English for US-based stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Business partnering with Finance leaders; surface insights on spend, headcount, and key drivers.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: maintain bottoms-up forecasts and variance explanations.
  • P&L management: monitor COGS, GM, OM, and expenses; identify efficiencies.
  • Cost modeling: develop standard cost models; BOM cost roll-ups and NPI estimates.
  • Automate reporting and improve processes using BI tools; document procedures.
  • Maintain familiarity with Canada GST/HST and tax compliance with Tax and Accounting teams.

Job Summary

The Sr Finance Manager is a business‑finance partner supporting BU Finance leaders with planning, forecasting, close, and decision support. The role owns analytics and management reporting, provides timely variance and run‑rate insights, and builds scalable models and templates that improve accuracy and speed for expense management. In this high visible role, you will help guide resource allocation, expense management and investment prioritization across both near‑term planning cycles and long‑term strategy. You will translate complex data into clear and actionable insights, helping leaders to understand performance drivers, evaluating trade‑offs. As a trusted finance partner, you will empower teams to operate with clarity and accountability.

Responsibilities
  • Business partnering (BU): Serve as the primary analytical support for Finance leaders; proactively surface insights on spend, headcount, and key drivers; and ensure stakeholders understand variances and levers.
  • Budgeting and forecasting: Maintain bottoms‑up forecasts for assigned cost centers; Prepare monthly and quarterly variance explanations versus plan, forecast, and prior periods; Produce concise, leadership‑ready commentary highlighting root causes, risks, and recommended actions.
  • P&L Management:Develop deep understanding of the key elements driving the P&L — including revenue, cost of goods sold (COGS), inventory, gross margin (GM), and operating margin (OM); manage and monitor expenses against budget and forecast, partner with department leaders to identify cost efficiencies and further growth opportunities.
  • Cost modeling:Understand and support the development of standard cost models across product lines, incorporating material, labor, and overhead cost drivers; partner with engineering and operations on BOM cost roll‑ups and NPI cost estimates; support scenario modeling to assess cost impacts of sourcing decisions, capacity changes, and pricing strategy.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline reporting and analysis through automation, BI tools, and standardized processes; document repeatable work instructions and assumptions.
  • Canada tax compliance: Maintain familiarity with Canada local tax policies (e.g., GST/HST) and their implications for financial reporting and business operations, partnering with Tax and Accounting teams as needed to ensure compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in FP&A, business finance, management reporting, or financial analysis; technology or semiconductor experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of P&L concepts and operating expense drivers, including labor, contractors, services, software, and travel, and how they flow through forecast and close.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivots, and Power Query, with demonstrated ability to build scalable, auditable models and templates.
  • Excellent written and verbal English with the ability to communicate clearly with US‑based stakeholders and present concise insights and recommendations.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines across time zones with strong attention to detail and an ownership mindset.
  • High integrity and comfort working with confidential finance and employee data.
  • Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP and/or EPM tools such as Hyperion, and exposure to reporting platforms such as Qlik or Power BI, is preferred.
  • Experience in cost modelling preferred, working knowledge of SQL and/or data visualization tools and the ability to automate repetitive analyses is preferred.
  • Professional certification such as CFA, CPA, ACCA, or an MBA is a plus.

At SiTime, we believe great work deserves great rewards. We offer a comprehensive and highly competitive compensation package designed to attract top talent.

The annual base salary range for this role is 119,130 to 170,350 CAD. The final offer is determined by factors such as location, experience, education, and training.


In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for a quarterly bonus tied to the achievement of innovation goals—reflecting our commitment to recognizing meaningful impact. We also offer equity grants, providing a meaningful opportunity to share in the company’s future growth and success.
