Job summary

Michael Page (Canada) is seeking a Data Engineer in Winnipeg to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines across diverse data sources using Azure data platforms. Collaborate with stakeholders to define data requirements, optimize workflows, and review operations data while advancing cloud-based data engineering initiatives.

Strong Python/PySpark/SQL, ETL, and Microsoft data technologies are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, data modeling, ETL processes and data integration using Microsoft technologies.
• Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and querying on Azure data services (e.g., Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse, Fabric, Purview).
• The ideal professional will be capable of designing scalable data pipelines, troubleshooting complex issues, conducting root cause analysis, and supporting cloud-based data engineering initiatives.
• They will demonstrate sound technical judgment, attention to data quality and security, and familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
• Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
