Job description

Responsibilities

Operate company vehicles to efficiently deliver and pick up packages, covering a minimum of 15 routes in a floating capacity without a regularly assigned route. Serve as a mentor and role model for hourly employees, demonstrating strong communication, conflict resolution and leadership. Promote sales and generate incremental revenue whenever possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of courier experience.
• Up to six months to learn and adjust to the job.
• Valid driver’s licence with good driving record.
• Ability to successfully complete all basic and recurring training, including maintaining DG certification.
• Capability to gain and maintain FedEx DG Specialist certification.
• Good understanding of FedEx products, services and general operations.
• Physical ability to lift 70 lbs and maneuver packages up to 150 lbs with appropriate equipment.
• Knowledge of Canadian Customs regulations is an asset.
• In Quebec, must be bilingual (French and English).
• Excellent human, customer and communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, prioritization and organization skills.

Additional Information

Incumbents do not have regularly assigned routes; they cover open routes when the regular courier is unavailable. DG specialist requirement depends on station size and location, subject to senior management override.
