Job summary

TechDoQuest is seeking an experienced aerospace engineer to integrate the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on aircraft. You will support the development of concepts, perform analyses, and prepare technical requirements and testing.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree and has at least 7 years of aerospace experience, including work with flight control systems. Familiarity with MATLAB/Simulink and knowledge of certification processes is essential. Join us in Montreal, Canada.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in the aerospace field.
• Direct involvement in the definition and certification of FBW and/or Secondary Flight Control system.
• Good understanding of system definition, integration, and certification.
• Knowledge of aircraft systems and interfaces (e.g., electrical, hydraulic, avionics, auto-flight).
• Experience in modeling and dynamic simulation of flight controls is an asset.
• Working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow simulation environment.
• Familiarity with other simulation environments or design tools is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Integrate the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.
• Support the development of concepts with the Flight Control system supplier.
• Perform and review analysis to evaluate concept feasibility.

Skills

Job description

• Perform the integration of the FBW & Secondary Flight Controls system on the aircraft.
• Support the development of concepts, design approach and philosophy with the Flight Control system supplier.
• Perform/Review analysis to evaluate concepts feasibility.
• Develop, validate and verify technical requirements of the Flight Control System.
• Review/Prepare technical requirements.
• Review/Prepare test procedures.
• Execute test rig and/or aircraft testing.
• Review/Prepare test reports in support of certification activities.
• Resolve problems arising from in-service aircraft..
• Troubleshooting, root cause determination, corrective action definition and execution.
• Ensure compliance to the ARP4754 development process.
• Support trade off studies and life cycle cost analysis for future programs.
• Ensure the design process and the resulting equipment implementation is in line with client’s requirements and standards.

Required Skills

• You hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and have a minimum of 7 years’ experience in aerospace related field.
• You have been directly involved in the definition and certification of at least one FBW and/or Secondary Flight Control system.
• You possess a good understanding of all facets of system definition, integration, and certification and have a knowledge of aircraft systems and interfaces (e.g., electrical, hydraulic, avionics, auto-flight).
• You have knowledge of Part 25 certification process.
• You have experience in modeling and dynamic simulation of flight controls electrical and hydraulic actuators is an asset.
• You have a working knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow simulation environment.
• You have some familiarity with other simulation environments such as ADAMS, or design tools such as CATIA would be an asset.
