What You’ll Be Doing

As a member of the Global Employee and Labour Relations Policies and Programs (GELR P&P) team you will provide guidance and specialized knowledge to support the management and administration of the global mobility policy in the jurisdictions in which CIBC operates. You will also provide support to the immigration programs in Canada and the US. As a Sr. Consultant Global Mobility and Immigration you will be responsible for providing highly specialized and strategic advice, consultation and expertise along with day‑to‑day coordination on enterprise‑wide domestic and international mobility assignments, ensuring compliance with the Global Mobility and applicable Foreign Worker Policies.

In addition, you will provide support and expertise and will participate in corporate initiatives as a subject‑matter expert.

How You’ll Succeed
  • Strategic Support – Support the Director Global Mobility and Immigration GELR P&P and other team members with strategic initiatives in relation to global mobility and immigration as well as in support of other HR and organization‑wide initiatives.
  • Advice and Consultation – Provide strategic global mobility and immigration advice and consultation to our global business partners and HR professionals on global mobility and immigration matters in accordance with established timelines.
  • Relationship Management – Effectively engage and collaborate with various teams within GELR P&P as well as key stakeholders across the organization to develop and deliver critical elements associated with our global mobility and immigration programs.
  • Program Management – Support the Director Global Mobility and Immigration with the review, development, implementation and sustainment of innovative and effective global mobility and immigration policies, programs and procedures across all jurisdictions in which CIBC operates.
  • Analytics – Leverage key data and metrics to analyze and identify trends, gaps and deficiencies and in partnership with key stakeholders to proactively address and identify trends, gaps and deficiencies.

  • You have in‑depth knowledge of Global Mobility and Immigration and can demonstrate 5‑7 solid years of work experience in this regard.
  • You remain current on applicable global mobility tax and immigration trends.
