Charger Logistics Inc. is seeking a Sr Cloud Network Engineer in Brampton, Canada. You will design, build and run the network that connects our cloud platforms, offices and terminals across North America, with 24/7 operations.

Collaborate with infrastructure, SRE, security and development teams to keep networks fast, secure and highly available. You will work with GCP, AWS and Azure, implement Terraform-based infrastructure, and support zero-trust and remote access tools.

Competenze

• 6–8 years in network engineering with 2–3 years in cloud networking.
• Hands-on experience with networking on at least one major cloud (GCP, Azure or AWS).
• Strong fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing (BGP, OSPF), DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN and load balancing.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity between on-premises and cloud.
• Hands-on with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco or cloud-native).
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or similar.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting using Wireshark, traceroute and cloud flow logs.

We're looking for a Sr Cloud Network Engineer to design, build and run the network that connects our cloud platforms, offices and terminals across North America. Our systems run 24/7 to support trucking and logistics operations, so the network has to be fast, secure and always available. You'll work closely with our infrastructure, SRE, security and development teams in Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build and manage cloud networks (VPCs/VNets, subnets, routing, peering) across GCP, Azure and AWS.
• Set up and maintain secure connections between cloud environments, data centres and our offices and terminals, using site-to-site VPN, Cloud Interconnect, ExpressRoute or Direct Connect.
• Manage cloud load balancers, DNS, NAT and network gateways for our production services.
• Configure and maintain firewalls, security groups and network policies to keep traffic secure.
• Support networking for our Kubernetes platform (ingress, network policies, service-to-service traffic).
• Build and manage network infrastructure as code with Terraform.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot latency and connectivity issues, and take part in an on-call rotation.
• Support zero-trust and secure remote access tools such as Zscaler, Cloudflare or Palo Alto Prisma.
• Document network designs and keep diagrams and runbooks up to date.
• Plan for capacity, high availability and disaster recovery, and help manage cloud networking costs.

• 6–8 years in network engineering, including at least 2–3 years with cloud networking.
• Hands-on experience with networking on at least one major cloud (GCP, Azure or AWS). More than one is a plus.
• Strong networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, routing (BGP, OSPF), DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPN and load balancing.
• Experience with hybrid connectivity between on-premises sites and the cloud.
• Hands-on with firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco or cloud-native firewalls).
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform or similar.
• Scripting in Python, Bash or PowerShell for automation.
• Strong troubleshooting skills using tools like Wireshark, traceroute and cloud flow logs.

Nice to have

• Kubernetes networking (CNI, ingress controllers, service mesh)
• SD-WAN experience (Cisco, Fortinet, VMware VeloCloud or similar)
• Zero-trust or SASE tools: Zscaler, Cloudflare, Netskope or Prisma Access
• Certifications such as CCNP, Google Professional Cloud Network Engineer, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty or Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
• Experience in logistics, transportation or another 24/7 operations environment
