Business Analyst – Capital Markets & Data Management

MUST HAVE SKILLS:

  • Capital Markets experience – exposure to systems such as Calypso, Murex, Wallstreet, Broadridge (Impact, ADP, GLOSS), Endur, or Imagine

  • Strong data expertise – hands‑on experience with trade/position data, market/security data, accounting/P&L data

  • Data Sourcing & Mining – proven ability to extract, validate, and analyze large datasets to support business and regulatory initiatives

  • SQL proficiency – ability to read and interpret SQL code, write and execute complex SQL queries for data extraction and validation

We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong Capital Markets and data management experience to support multiple initiatives across front, middle, and back‑office functions. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of business acumen and technical proficiency, with the ability to liaise between users and development teams to define requirements, analyze data, and deliver actionable insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gather and document business and data requirements for various Capital Markets initiatives

  • Analyze, source, and map data across multiple systems and domains

  • Work with complex datasets — including trade, position, market, accounting, collateral, and counterparty data

  • Develop and maintain technical data mappings, process flows, and business requirement documents (BRDs)

  • Create and execute test cases for SIT and support UAT activities

  • Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure project milestones are met

  • Track progress, report updates, and manage deliverables using JIRA and Confluence

  • Support regulatory reporting efforts including FDIC, FR2052a, GSIB, USFR, and Bank of Canada Collateral reporting

Qualifications & Experience:
  • 5+ years of Business Analysis experience within Capital Markets environments

  • Strong understanding of financial products – Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, FX, Commodities, Structured Products, and Securities Lending

  • Hands‑on experience with industry systems – Calypso, Murex, Wallstreet, Broadridge, Endur, etc.

  • Proficiency in SQL/Postgres and advanced MS Office applications (Excel, Projects, SharePoint, Outlook)

  • Experience with data sourcing, mining, and mapping across multiple systems and entities

  • Knowledge of regulatory reporting frameworks and collateral management is an asset

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills with the ability to bridge business and technical stakeholders
