Job Description

The Sr. Business Consultant is a member of the Canada market strategy team, supporting Visa’s operations with a focus on its supervisory obligations to Canadian regulators. This position will work very closely with Market and Enterprise Risk teams and play a key role in the development and execution of compliance processes in support of Visa’s Prominent Payment Systems (PPS) designation and the Retail Payments Activities Act (RPAA) while ensuring Visa maintains a best-in-class compliance posture across its Canadian operations.

Accountabilities
  • Support the development and execution of Visa Canada’s compliance strategy in alignment with Visa’s global risk framework and local regulatory expectations
  • Oversee the design and implementation of compliance controls, reporting, and monitoring processes related to PPS and RPAA
  • Act as key point of contact for Canadian regulators, coordinating responses, reporting, and proactive engagement related to Visa’s PPS and RPAA oversight
  • Direct Visa’s RPAA registration, assurance reviews, and ongoing compliance lifecycle activities, including readiness for regulatory exams and assessments.
  • Drive the integration of compliance insights into Visa Canada’s enterprise risk management framework, including reporting on top risks and emerging regulatory trends
  • Lead internal and external risk and compliance reporting, including dashboard development, performance metrics, and oversight of Visa’s risk reporting roadmap
  • Represent Visa Canada in internal global governance forums (e.g., Rules Management, New Business Assessments, global compliance councils)

This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications

  • 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
