Job summary

Birks Group in Montreal is seeking a Senior Business Applications Developer to help shape our digital commerce and business-application ecosystem. You will be the technical reference for Salesforce Commerce Cloud and SFRA, designing, building, and supporting integrations across Microsoft technologies with cross-functional teams.

You will design storefront capabilities, develop Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI reports, and collaborate with data, QA, operations, and marketing to deliver

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C and SFRA development experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform: Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI.
• Experience with source control, CI/CD, testing, debugging, code reviews, and Agile delivery.
• Ability to explain technical topics to non-technical partners.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support B2C storefronts in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFRA).
• Build front-end and back-end components, cartridges, controllers, ISML templates, services, and data feeds.
• Design and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI dashboards.
• Work with SharePoint, Dataverse, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and related Azure services.
• Diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver fixes.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD improvements, documentation, and architectural decisions.
• Prototype practical AI use cases to improve operations or client experiences.

The role

As our Senior Business Applications Developer, you’ll serve as a technical reference for Salesforce Commerce Cloud while designing, building, and supporting applications, automations, and integrations across Microsoft technologies. You’ll partner with e-commerce, marketing, operations, data, quality assurance, and business teams to turn needs into secure, reliable, scalable solutions.

What you’ll do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and support B2C storefront capabilities in Salesforce Commerce Cloud, primarily using SFRA.
• Build and maintain front-end and back-end components, cartridges, controllers, ISML templates, services, Business Manager configuration, catalogues, promotions, content, data feeds, and scheduled jobs.
• Design and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate flows, and Power BI reports and dashboards that simplify internal processes and strengthen decision-making.
• Work with SharePoint, Microsoft Lists, Dataverse, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, and related Azure services where appropriate.
• Diagnose production issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver durable fixes.
• Participate in code reviews, CI/CD improvements, software-quality practices, technical documentation, and architectural decisions.
• Help identify and prototype practical AI use cases that improve operations, employee experiences, or client experiences.

What you bring

• A university or college degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Significant hands-on Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C and SFRA development experience.
• Experience delivering and supporting integrated enterprise solutions, including CRM, ERP, POS, marketing, or e-commerce integrations.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform in an organizational setting, including Power Apps, Power Automate, and Power BI.
• Experience with source control, CI/CD, testing, debugging, code reviews, and Agile delivery.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical partners.
• Ability to work in both French and English with teams, vendors, and partners.
• Please note that due to the nature of this position, proficiency in English is required to communicate regularly with employees, managers, vendors, and partners outside Quebec.

Nice to have

• Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer or Microsoft Power Platform certifications.
• Experience with Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, AI Builder, RAG, or AI-agent development.
• Experience with Zoho CRM, Deluge, Klaviyo, Jira, React, headless or composable architecture, omnichannel retail, or payment integrations.
• Experience in luxury retail, retail, or a multi-channel environment.
