Sr. Aviation Program Manager

Location: Mississauga, ON

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Program Manager to lead high-profile aviation programs and ensure seamless delivery for our customers. This is a hands-on leadership role, perfect for someone with a technical background, strong problem-solving skills, and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide mentorship and oversight to Program Management staff, supporting their professional growth and performance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean practices to eliminate waste and increase efficiency across all operations.
  • Oversee project initiation, including system setup for planning, creating project charters, and defining scope, risks, and resource needs.
  • Develop and maintain a Master Project Schedule in MS Project, including deliverables, milestones, reporting, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead regular project team meetings to review priorities, issues, and progress against schedules and budgets.
  • Deliver monthly program updates to senior leadership, highlighting variances in cost, schedule, risks, and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare required reporting to support customer and contractual obligations.
  • Present program status at management reviews and coordinate activities across engineering, planning, and operations teams.
  • Ensure program activities meet regulatory and quality standards, including airworthiness requirements.
  • Manage subcontractors and vendor performance to meet cost, schedule, and quality targets.
  • Oversee resource allocation, budgets, and profitability goals while leveraging team strengths to achieve objectives.
  • Compile and submit program closeout reports and transition programs to customer support.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 10+ years of experience managing complex projects within aviation or aerospace.
  • Solid understanding of aircraft subsystems and integration.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project and project management tools.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Business degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Physical Requirements
  • This position involves a combination of office-based and collaborative activities.
