Job summary

Maple Leaf Foods is seeking a Sr. Analyst, Supply Planning to develop short and long term supply plans for FPP Poultry, balancing customer demand with raw material availability, capacity and inventory targets.

You will collaborate with Demand Planning, Plant Scheduling, Operations, Sales and Marketing to optimize performance. The role offers CAD 71,000–103,000 base pay plus annual incentive; compensation may vary by experience.

  • Post secondary education in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Build short and long term FPP Supply Plans that meet customer demand while optimizing raw material utilization and plant capacity.
  • Evaluate incremental demand opportunities including features, new product launches and new business requests, and provide recommendations based on supply capability.
  • Conduct scenario planning to assess supply options, constraints and opportunities to maximize volume.
  • Support the monthly S&OP process by identifying key risks, opportunities and required decisions across the S&OP horizon.
  • Collaborate regularly with Demand Planning, Fresh Supply Planning, Plant Scheduling, Operations, Sales and Marketing; including supply risks, opportunities and recommendations clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Monitor supply planning KPIs and identify opportunities to improve inventory positioning, service levels, and capacity utilization
  • Support continuous improvement of planning processes, systems and reporting to improve accuracy, efficiency and responsiveness.

The Opportunity

The Sr. Analyst, Supply Planning is responsible for developing and maintaining short and long term supply plans for FPP Poultry, balancing customer demand with raw material availability, production capacity and inventory objectives. This role plays an important part in delivering strong customer service while optimizing raw material utilization and plant capacity. The Sr. Analyst, Supply Planning proactively identifies supply risks and opportunities, develops scenarios and recommendations, and works closely with cross functional partners including Demand Planning, Fresh Supply Planning, Plant Scheduling, Operations, Sales and Marketing. The role provides an opportunity to build strong supply planning capability, business acumen and cross-functional influence within a complex and dynamic supply chain environment.

Compensation: $71,000 - $103,000 CAD base pay annually plus annual short-term incentive. The above compensation reflects the target compensation for the position at the time of posting. The base salary offered may vary based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, education, training, job- related knowledge, and other organizational requirements. For part-time roles, salaries are adjusted according to scheduled hours. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to participate in Maple Leaf’s annual short-term incentive plan.

  • Build short and long term FPP Supply Plans that meet customer demand while optimizing raw material utilization and plant capacity. Build FPP plans to maximizing Raw Material Utilization and coordinating with operations to maximize efficiency.
  • Evaluate incremental demand opportunities including features, new product launches and new business requests, and provide recommendations based on supply capability.
  • Conduct scenario planning to assess supply options, constraints and opportunities to maximize volume.
  • Support the monthly Supply Review process by identifying key risks, opportunities and required decisions across the S&OP horizon.
  • Collaborate regularly with Demand Planning, Fresh Supply Planning, Plant Scheduling, Operations, Sales and Marketing; including supply risks, opportunities and recommendations clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Strong partnerships are established across Planning, Operations, Sales and Marketing.
  • Planning processes and tools continue to improve through disciplined problem solving and continuous improvement.
  • Develops strong planning judgment, business acumen and cross functional influence over time.
