What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining CIBC’s Identity and Access Lifecycle Operations. You’ll be on the front lines of building the future of information security at CIBC. As a Sr. Information Security Analyst, you’ll assess projects for security risks and present recommendations that allow the business to make informed decisions. You’ll provide insight and support to build policies and procedures that safeguard our clients, enhance risk management, and enable our success.

At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on‑site, while other days will be remote.

How You’ll Succeed
  • Consulting - You will be responsible for collaborating with projects and other technology or business partners to create and execute access management for new/existing infrastructure, aligning with Identity & Access Management (IAM) initiatives and related policies, standards, and procedures to help enhance our information security posture. Assist other teams in investigation of potential security incidents and provide recommendations to remediate.
  • Assessment & Evaluation - You will be responsible for examining, interpreting documentation, and verbal information to assess risks. As a SME, you will assess and correct user requests, ensure the appropriate controls are followed and enforced during provisioning activities while minimizing impact and risk exposure to the business
  • Process Improvement - Recommend solutions to enhance processes, eliminate risks, and improve the speed and quality of key services to our partners. Apply appropriate tools to perform problem determination and root cause analysis; identify bottlenecks, redundancies and vulnerabilities of existing processes as they relate to identity and access management.
  • Knowledge Sharing - working closely with internal and external partners to ensure that information security best practices are understood and applied; ensuring that knowledge repositories are kept up to date and are transparent to internal partners where applicable; development of and execution of regular and adhoc reporting and communications to support IAM initiatives
Who You Are
  • You can demonstrate experience in Information Security. It's an asset if you have experience with control, compliance, audit testing and provisioning. Experience in advancing continuous improvement agendas including process documentation is an asset. Experience with reporting tools is an asset. You have a degree/diploma in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field. Experience with Privileged Identity Management tools is an asset.
