The Senior Data Analyst will translate business questions into scalable data solutions, monitor business performance, and deliver actionable insights through analytics and visualizations tailored to a range of audiences, including senior leaders.

The role will work closely with business subject matter experts, Technology teams, and data owners, while operating with a high degree of independence. The successful candidate will bring strong knowledge of enterprise data and data infrastructure, connect information across systems and platforms, and help establish practical standards and reusable solutions that improve the team’s analytics capabilities.

What you will do
  • Independently lead complex analytics initiatives from requirements and data discovery through solution design, development, testing, deployment, documentation, and ongoing support
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical approaches and actionable insights, communicating key drivers, limitations, implications, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leaders
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data models, semantic models, data marts, reports, and Power BI dashboards tailored to varied audiences
  • Work across enterprise systems, tools, and platforms to source, connect, transform, reconcile, validate, and analyze complex data that may be inconsistent, incomplete, or poorly documented
  • Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, data engineers, data scientists, and data owners to define requirements, resolve data issues, and deliver fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Strengthen data quality, governance, documentation, and single-source-of-truth practices, while identifying opportunities to automate recurring work and create reusable analytical assets
  • Provide technical guidance, peer review, and knowledge sharing, and help establish practical standards that improve the team’s analytics capabilities
  • Independently manage multiple priorities and stakeholder relationships, using sound judgment, business acumen, and appropriate escalation
What you will bring
  • Minimum of three years of relevant experience and a university or college degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including data modelling, semantic model design, DAX, Power Query, dashboard development, performance optimization, security, deployment, and lifecycle management
  • Strong SQL skills and proficiency in Python or R for data preparation, integration, reconciliation, validation, automation, analysis, and quality assurance
  • Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex enterprise analytics, structure ambiguous problems, and manage multiple priorities with sound judgment
  • Experience working with large, messy datasets and modern data infrastructure, including warehouses or lakehouses, data marts, pipelines, APIs, cloud platforms, and system dependencies
  • Experience combining tools and platforms—such as Excel, Power BI, Databricks, SQL, Python or R, Azure services, and enterprise systems—to build reusable datasets and deliver end-to-end solutions
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder-management skills, with a commitment to data quality, governance, documentation, process improvement, and knowledge sharing
  • Knowledge of the organization, distribution channels, products, systems, and data is an asset
  • Experience with Azure compute services, Azure Data Factory or similar orchestration tools, and relevant Microsoft certifications is an asset
