PURPOSE:

Manage the recording and collection of accounts receivable in Quebec.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain sound credit policy keeping credit losses and slow collection of receivables to a minimum.
  • Responsible for setting new customer credit terms.
  • Analysis and resolution of disputes and issues which cause orders and/or accounts to be locked.
  • Unlock or lock accounts and orders as required.
  • Ensure accuracy in reasons and value for credits issued.
  • Reduce Daily Sales Outstanding (DSO), Overdue (OVD), Bad Debt.
  • Mitigate, report on, and collect bad debt accounts.
  • Communicate with customers and distributors to collect on outstanding invoices, coordinate with external collections if required.
  • Manage Accounts Receivable collection risk through credit policies.
  • Work with external parties to collect on delinquent accounts as needed.
  • Assist and train junior members of the team, spot check hard call list to ensure actions in place for accounts nearing or already in bad debt.
