What is the opportunity?

In this role you will work in a team environment ensuring the accurate and timely processing of all income related transactions to our underlying clients’ accounts. The individual will work closely with their peers and liaise with their manager on escalations and or other issues pertaining to their desk.

What will you do?
  • To process and reconcile Dividend and Interest payments. This entails the accurate and timely processing of all clients’ Entitlements, the control and collections of Income proceeds from Depositories and Issuers, and reconciliation of suspense account activities.
  • Deliver service commitments to the clients’ satisfaction by ensuring that all work functions are completed accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Support process developments to mitigate operational risks and reduce manual work.
  • Support training & learning for newly on-boarded team members.
  • To manage Operational risk, financial control, development of the team’s operational capabilities and to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Ensure errors and omissions are maintained at an absolute minimum, or where occurring are not repetitive in nature as part of managing key risk indicators.
  • Maintenance of satisfactory internal and external Audit/Regulatory/Risk ratings and reviews.
  • Adherence to all procedures and control functions, including reconciliations, as appropriate, to minimize financial loss to RBC Investor Services and its clients.
  • Ensure SLA’s are adhered to, without exception.
  • Compliance with Treat Client Fair policy and complaint procedure.
  • Ensures that all Income events are researched and processed on an accurately and timely basis.
  • Ensures all payments received from depositories, wire or cheque has been processed by end of day.
What do you need to succeed?

Must haves:

  • Ability to work under pressure, managing workloads and time efficiently to meet stringent deadlines in a stressful environment.
  • Flexibility towards working hours in order to meet business needs.
  • Client focus.

Nice-to-have:

  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in Banking or Financial Operations/Financial Services.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills.
