This is how we aim to prevent, stop and cure diseases and ensure everyone has access to healthcare today and for generations to come. Join Roche, where every voice matters.

The Position

A healthier future. It’s what drives us to innovate. To continuously advance science and ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they need today and in the future. Creating a world where we all have more time with the people we love.

That’s what makes us Roche.

As a Squad Lead (Franchise Lead), you embody courageous and authentic leadership, consistently driven by enterprise thinking and a deep commitment to patient and customer centricity. You hold the crucial accountability for developing and delivering on the therapeutic or disease area ambitions, while maintaining an overarching enterprise mindset. Your responsibilities extend to shaping the business strategy, effectively mobilizing a diverse, cross‑disciplinary team, and cultivating an environment that champions exceptional execution excellence and speed. You foster a high‑performance team that is in service of achieving both squad ambitions and our vision.

We are seeking an outstanding senior leader who possesses extensive and current experience within the Neuroimmunology, in particular Multiple Sclerosis Disease Areas, coupled with a proven track record of demonstrable impact. Launch experience within these disease areas is highly desired, as is a history of successfully launching new products and a strong ability to collaborate effectively on an international scale, externally and internally.

Roche Squads are end‑to‑end accountable for the creation and delivery of compelling value propositions to our patients, customers, and the business at large. This accountability encompasses both the strategy development, execution and comprehensive oversight of all related work.

Opportunity

As the Squad Lead (Franchise Lead), you will embody a courageous and authentic leadership style, driving the therapeutic or disease area ambitions with an overarching enterprise mindset and a deep commitment to patient and customer centricity. This is a critical senior leadership role with end‑to‑end accountability.

  • Hold crucial accountability for developing and delivering the therapeutic or disease area ambitions (specifically in Neuroimmunology/Multiple Sclerosis), ensuring alignment with enterprise portfolio priorities.
  • Shape the business strategy and mobilize a diverse, cross‑disciplinary team ("Squad") to champion exceptional execution excellence and speed.
  • Demonstrate inspirational leadership by proactively fostering empowerment, driving a high‑performance culture, and providing constructive feedback with courage and care.
  • Excel in strategic development and systems thinking, analyzing complexity and connecting the dots across functions to develop strategies that drive sustainable growth.
  • Act as the face of the disease area nationally, developing and nurturing significant external customer and stakeholder relationships with a strong presence in the field.
  • Coach and mentor squad members (in alignment with Chapter Leads) to ensure individuals and teams are developing in line with the needs of the organization and their passion.
  • Lead with an Enterprise Mindset, ensuring all Squad strategies, planning, and investment align not only to the Squad's but also to broader organizational priorities, including global collaboration (GPS, PI).
Who you are

We are seeking an outstanding, senior leader who is ready to take on the challenges of a dynamic, patient‑focused environment and drive significant impact in the Neuroimmunology space.

  • You possess an extensive and current experience base within Neuroimmunology, particularly in the Multiple Sclerosis Disease Area, with a proven track record of demonstrable commercial impact and launch experience.
  • You hold a University degree in a scientific, medical, or business field (advanced degree is preferred) and have over 15+ years of experience with 7+ years of leadership experience within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector.
  • You are skilled at inspirational, collaborative, and people‑centered leadership, demonstrating the ability to influence cross‑functional and cross‑market stakeholders effectively.
  • You consistently demonstrate strong business acumen, executive communication, and negotiation skills, leading to exceptional execution and impressive speed through rapid, innovative experimentation.
  • You have proven ability to mentor, coach, and empower high‑performing teams, and you can confidently have crucial conversations with both courage and skill.
  • You demonstrate strength in leading with ambiguity and possess experience in working with and leading a complex, cross‑functional team with diverse competencies and functional expertise.
  • You excel at building and maintaining strong collaborative relationships and networks, both internally (locally and globally) and externally, to effectively prioritize and deliver on large, complex disease area ambition.
