A regional government agency in Pemberton is seeking a Child Youth Family Support Worker to assist Child Protection Social Workers. This role involves making a meaningful impact in the community by providing support to children, youth, and families. At Pemberton Family Services, you will be joining an established and collaborative team made up of three Protection Social Workers and two SPO21 Social Workers. Our team works closely with probation, resources, adoption, and child and youth mental health services, creating a supportive network that values equity, diversity, and inclusion. This Child Youth Family Support Worker role is focused on supporting Child Protection Social Workers within the delegation matrix, helping ensure families receive the care and protection they need. The work has a direct impact on children, youth, and families in a lovely, diverse community, where inclusion and respect for different cultures are central to everything we do. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement. An eligibility list may be established to fill both current and/or future permanent vacancies. Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
