Spirit of Math is seeking a dedicated teacher to connect with students and deliver the Spirit of Math approach in Toronto campuses. You will foster a structured, inclusive environment that supports children’s mathematical development and values collaboration with families and colleagues.

You will receive training to deepen your understanding of math concepts and to expand your teaching abilities, with opportunities for ongoing professional growth within a supportive community.

Qualifications

• A degree from a recognized college or university is necessary.
• Bachelor of Education degree is an asset, but it is not mandatory.

Responsabilités

• Foster a high trust learning environment and build strong relationships with parents.
• Adhere to Spirit of Math teaching methodology and administrative system.
• Deliver lessons to students.
• Grade students' assignments, tests and exams.
• Build and maintain relationships with parents.
• Address issues with students’ performance and behaviour.
• Draft report cards three times per year.
• Manage assistant teachers as needed.
• Maintain accurate records of grades and attendance.
• Perform peer evaluations periodically.
• Attend professional development sessions several times per year.

• Effectively managing the classroom to maintain a safe, orderly learning environment
• Adhering to the Spirit of Math teaching methodology and administrative system
• Delivering lessons to students
• Grading students assignments, tests and exams
• Building and maintaining relationships with parents
• Addressing issues with students’ performance and behaviour
• Drafting report cards three times per year

• Maintaining an up-to-date and accurate records of grades and attendance
• Performing peer evaluations periodically
