Fraser Health Authority in Burnaby is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist for a relief part-time position to join our Speech Language Pathology team at Burnaby Hospital. The role supports a multi-phase redevelopment and a broad range of clinical practices in a busy hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current registration with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
• Applicable College certification(s) required.
• Experience in speech language pathology assessment and intervention.

Responsibilities

• Performs speech language and dysphagia assessment, diagnosis, prognosis and develops treatment plans.
• Implements evidence-based interventions and educates patients and caregivers.
• Collaborates with interprofessional care teams to plan care, discharge and follow-up.
• Maintains and updates patient records, documents progress and outcomes.
• Delegates appropriate components of treatment to speech and hearing assistants and provides supervision.
