Job summary

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking a Speech and Language Therapist to join a multidisciplinary team in Peterborough and/or Milton Keynes. The role offers a permanent, part-time position with flexible hours and a focus on neurorehabilitation for individuals with neurological conditions.

You will work within a leading care home environment, collaborating with a range of specialists to deliver tailored speech and communication therapies and improve overall quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team including a Consultant, Clinical Neuropsychologist, Consultant Neuropsychiatrist, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Therapy Technician, and Engagement Coordinator.
  • Evaluate and assess the speech of individuals with neurological conditions.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans to aid communication and manage dysphagia.
  • Work closely with the dietician and catering team to ensure optimal mealtime experiences.
  • Foster strong rapport with residents to ensure effective engagement in therapy sessions.
  • Diagnose and treat a range of conditions related to acquired and traumatic brain injuries, as well as degenerative neurological conditions.
