A regional educational institution in Okotoks is seeking a dedicated educator fluent in French. The ideal candidate will focus on student-centered learning and collaborate with a motivated team. Responsibilities include planning engaging activities and fostering relationships with students and the community. The position supports integration of technology and participation in extra-curricular activities.
Foothills School Division (FSD) serves the learning needs of approximately 8000 students from preschool to grade 12. We operate 22 public schools, an online digital school, an alternative campus, and three colony schools. These are located in the towns of Okotoks, High River, and Diamond Valley, and the communities of Blackie, Cayley, Heritage Heights, Red Deer Lake, Longview, Millarville and Foothills County.

As a member of a highly motivated team and student‑centered educator, you are prepared to collaborate with colleagues in a Professional Learning Community. Your teaching practice includes the ability to design and plan learning activities that transfer, and develop thinking competencies. Further, your practice assesses individual student variables to inform the design of meaningful and experiential learning opportunities and effective assessment practice.
Your ability to foster effective professional relationships with student, families, staff and community is critical. You demonstrate a willingness to engage in extra‑curricular activities and support students in the whole school experience that characterizes effective schools. Your capacity to integrate technologies and support experiential learning that connects students to community resources within Maker‑centered learning, CTF and CTS learning environments is evident.
