Job summary

The Home Depot is hiring an Asset Protection Specialist to prevent loss and support safety and environmental program compliance in the store. You will lead investigations, interact with law enforcement when needed, and work with management to reduce shrink.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in retail loss prevention, strong communication skills, and the ability to work a flexible schedule. A vehicle is required and bilingualism is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of experience as a retail Loss Prevention Investigator or equivalent preferred.
• Must have access to a vehicle.
• Bilingualism (French/English) an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prevent financial loss by deterring theft and fraud and supporting safety programs.
• Detain and interview shoplifters as appropriate and prepare reports.
• Coordinate with AP Supervisor and store management to address shrink issues.
• Maintain security of the store and assist investigations as needed.
