Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Specialist, Westcoast Asset Performance in Calgary to lead senior-level financial, commercial, and analytical work on optimizing the Westcoast gas pipelines and facilities. You will guide budgeting, evaluate capacity and investment options, and coordinate with multiple teams to improve asset performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in natural gas pipelines, commercial operations, asset management, regulatory affairs, or related energy field.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities to support planning, investment, and business decisions.
  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams in asset performance strategies balancing financial results, reliability, customer needs, regulatory requirements and execution risk.
  • Manage commercial analysis for new customer offerings, including stakeholder alignment, tariff changes, and negotiations.
  • Support regulatory and commercial strategies related to CER matters, toll and tariff design, and hearing preparation.
  • Guide budgeting and Long Range Plan activities by assessing results, risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
  • Evaluate capacity, contracts, system design, and investment options, developing recommendations and implementation plans.
  • Collaborate across Asset Management, Operations, Integrity, Projects, Regulatory, Legal, Finance and other teams to improve processes and reduce costs.

In this role, you will provide senior-level financial, commercial, and analytical expertise to optimize the reliability, value, and long-term performance of more than $4 billion in Westcoast natural gas pipelines, facilities, and equipment. You will translate operational, regulatory, commercial, and financial information into practical strategies that inform planning, investment, and asset management decisions while supporting safety, customer satisfaction, and strong financial performance.

What You Will Do:
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing asset performance strategies that balance financial results, reliability, customer needs, regulatory requirements, and execution risk.
  • Manage commercial analysis for new customer service offerings, including stakeholder alignment, tariff changes, customer negotiations, and recommendations that consider value, feasibility, and financial performance.
  • Support regulatory and commercial strategies related to CER matters, toll and tariff design, hearing preparation, competing pipeline proposals, and strategic partner commitments.
  • Guide budgeting and planning activities, including the Long Range Plan and five-year budget, by assessing actual and forecast results, identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Evaluate Westcoast capacity, contracts, system design, capital initiatives, outage plans, and investment options, developing recommendations, implementation plans, and decision materials for leadership.
  • Conduct market research and collaborate across Asset Management, Operations, Integrity, Projects, Regulatory, Legal, Finance, and other teams to improve processes, reduce costs, and maximize asset performance.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline, with practical knowledge of physical operations, financials, economics, and business agreements.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in natural gaspipelines, commercial operations, asset management, regulatory affairs, finance, or a related energy industry field.
  • Strong financial and analytical capabilities, including experience developing recommendations that support strategic planning, investment, and business decisions.
  • Takes initiative, work effectively with limited direction, and can apply creative thinking to develop and implement practical, innovative solutions.
  • Skilled communicator and relationship builder who can present complex information clearly, exercise tact and diplomacy, and influence diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Preference for experience with Westcoast commercial, operational, regulatory, asset performance, or asset management processes, including practical knowledge of pipeline Operations and Integrity systems.
Working Conditions:
  • Office environment.
  • Minimal travel (<5%) is required. Ability to travel throughout Canada and United States
