Lead administration of sustainability validation programs – execute survey distribution and data collection for vendor information to maintain memberships such as Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil, sustainable seafood compliance, among others
Support control brand ESG-related reporting through accurate and auditable data analysis, claims review, and final ESG report review
Support the review of control brand sustainability marketing programs & campaigns in partnership with Legal and Regulatory Affairs
Support the control brand Sustainable Sourcing Guide updates and training in partnership with the Sustainability & Social Impact team
Interact with 3rd party sustainability certifiers as Fairtrade, Rainforest Alliance (RFA), Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC), Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), (Better Cotton Initiative) BCI, among others
Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of data collection processes for sustainability information
Update control brand sustainability guidance documents as required
Support other special projects as required
Experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing numerous priorities simultaneously
Excellent problem solver and ability to manage difficult situations with tact and creativity
Ability to analyze reports and process large data sets with precision and efficiency
Advanced knowledge of Excel for project reporting, data cleaning and processing
Ability to synthetize complex information for non-technical audiences
Experience in project management principles and frameworks applied to sustainability initiatives
Strong attention to detail, highly organized and proactive
Passion for sustainability and the food industry
College/University diploma in related field
Relevant experience with sustainable food systems, sustainable agriculture, such as seafood, palm oil, coffee, animal welfare, and sustainable materials is an asset
Knowledge of sustainability principles and practices including claims, certifications, and NGO’s
Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and guidelines including CDP, GRI, SASB, IFRS (S1&S2), SDGs, among others
Strong communications and presentation skills (verbal and written)
