Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing or Merchandising; 1+ year in e-commerce merchandising/optimization.
  • Experience with merchandising analytics and site optimization.
  • Proficiency with merchandising platforms (Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Bloomreach) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a merchandising calendar aligned with marketing initiatives.
  • Lead weekly site merchandising strategies to boost conversion.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Product, Marketing, and UX on product placement.

Job description

Position Summary – 10 month Contract

As a Site Merchandising Specialist, you will optimize the site performance supporting the team's use of analytics and merchandising best practices to help improve customer conversion, retention, and overall website performance for Taylormadegolf.ca and .mx. Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams in planning, marketing, and UX to support product strategies and assist in optimize both front-end and back-end processes.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the development and upkeep of a comprehensive merchandising calendar (daily, weekly, and monthly) aligned with marketing initiatives to maximize product visibility, promotional effectiveness, and sales opportunities.
  • Support weekly site merchandising strategies to optimize conversion and customer engagement.
  • Own Assist with the testing process from hypothesis development through execution, analysis, and recommendation.
  • Analyze customer behavior and web analytics data, including product views, conversion rates, bounce rates, and engagement metrics, to identify trends and optimize category performance in support of business objectives.
  • Continuously enhance product discovery and the customer shopping experience by optimizing search functionality, navigation, filtering, and product recommendation tools.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Product, Marketing, and Digital teams to coordinate product placement strategies, manage inventory considerations, and mitigate business risks.
  • Leverage web analytics and customer insights to identify opportunities for site improvements, increased engagement, and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate with Digital Technology teams to define, prioritize, and support site enhancements and functionality within the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with business and customer needs.
  • Support product launch execution, ensuring timely, accurate, and impactful introductions that maximize visibility, customer engagement, and sales performance.
  • Evaluate merchandising systems and operational processes, identifying opportunities for platform enhancements, automation, and efficiency improvements.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer expectations to proactively adjust merchandising strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge and Skills Requirements:
  • Experience with ecommerce merchandising tools and platforms, with the ability to leverage technology to support business objectives.
  • Exposure to Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Quantum Metric, Bloomreach, or similar platforms is considered an asset
  • Deep understanding of merchandising KPIs; ideally trained in Google analyticsor similar.
  • Strong visual merchandising acumen with the ability to curate compelling product assortments, collections, and customer experiences
  • Clear understanding of where to leverage existing data vs where ab testing should be implemented
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong collaboration skills and a proven ability to build effective partnerships across cross-functional teams
  • Passion for golf, sports, and/or the sporting goods industry is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Spanish is considered an asset.
Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree or diploma, Marketing or Merchandising preferred 1+ Years Experience working in E-Commerce SiteMerchandising/Optimization,within a consumer goods organization.Experience withboth hard and soft goods preferred

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

Normal office conditions with extensive computer and phone usage. Ability to work extended hours as necessary Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials. Regularly required to sit or stand, bend and reach.

The hourly range for this position is $27-$30 an hour. Actual hourly rate within the range will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, and skills.
