Agropur Cooperative in Longueuil, QC, is seeking a Credit Risk and Collections Specialist to assess creditworthiness, manage financial risk, and oversee collections for a portfolio including export accounts. The role requires 12+ years in credit/collections, a Business Administration degree, CCP certification, and fluency in French and English.

Reporting to the Credit Director or a Credit Manager, the Credit Risk and Collections Specialist is responsible for assessing customer creditworthiness, managing financial risk associated with accounts receivable, and overseeing collection activities for a portfolio of complex, key, and/or export accounts. The incumbent is also involved in documenting and optimizing business processes. This individual plays a key role in protecting the company’s assets while fostering sustainable business relationships. Acting as a strategic advisor, they stay informed of global and industry economic trends and provide guidance on credit approval and collection decisions. As needed, they may provide functional supervision and serve as a backup to Credit Managers during absences and vacations. Finally, they support the deployment of key initiatives through training and coaching, while contributing to the achievement of departmental objectives and targets.
