Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Senior Specialist, Program / Project Control with extensive aerospace manufacturing and product development experience. You will contribute to shaping manufacturing strategies and drive design-for-manufacturing practices across Bombardier’s development programs.

You will lead multi-functional teams, manage stakeholders, and deliver continuous improvement initiatives in a dynamic, global aerospace environment. Collaboration and clear communication are essential to success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in aerospace manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• 15 years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• At least 5 years’ experience in project management delivering proven results.
• Product Development experience and understanding of aircraft development phases.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and ability to drive change and continuous improvement.
• Ability to develop and capitalize on new business opportunities and set business goals.
• May require Controlled Goods certification for defense initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of the manufacturing strategy for new programs.
• Build a robust process for design for manufacturing within Product Development with a clear requirements definition and adherence process.
• Review industry trends in manufacturing innovation and provide strategic recommendations to the company.
• Support the refinement of process standards for Manufacturing Engineering across Bombardier sites.

What are your contributions to the team?

• Support the development of the of manufacturing strategy for new programs.
• Build a robust process for design for manufacturing within the Product Development environment including a clearly defined requirements definition and adherence process.
• Review industry trends in manufacturing innovation and provide strategic recommendations to the company.
• Support the refinement of process standards for Manufacturing Engineering across all Bombardier manufacturing Sites.

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in aerospace manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• You have at least 15 years’ experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.
• You have at least 5 years’ experience in project management delivering proven results.
• You have Product Development experience and understand the Aircraft development phases.
• You have excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and gain buy-in for integration initiatives.
• You have demonstrated leadership abilities, including the ability to inspire and motivate multi-functional teams, drive change, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• You have a proven ability to develop and capitalize on new business opportunities, set business goals and deliver on plans.
• You can be Controlled Goods certified and support defense initiatives that may require additional military clearances.

The base salary for this position is expected to range from CAD $ XX,XXX to CAD $ XX,XXX per year. The applicable base salary will be determined based on various criteria, at Bombardier’s sole discretion, such as the candidate’s skills, experience and qualifications.

In some cases, the base salary offered may differ from the expected range of base salary listed above.
