Job summary

You will provide technical assistance, support medicines management, and ensure accurate dispensing across wards, departments and external customers.

Applicants must hold a full NVQ Level II in Pharmacy Services or equivalent, with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and a commitment to service improvements.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and support to the pharmacy teams across the pharmacy service, ensuring a safe, accurate and timely approach in all tasks undertaken.
• Support the effectiveness of the technical aspects of the medicines management service and the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions.
• Assist in the accurate receipt, storage, supply, issue and distribution of stock pharmaceuticals, including intravenous fluids to wards, departments and external customers.
• Participate in the supply of medicines in the form of in and out-patient dispensing, including accurate prescription receipt, labelling and assembly, and ensuring prompt completion and distribution, in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
