A leading mining company is seeking a Specialist, Backfill in Kivalliq Region. You will coordinate backfilling activities, ensuring safety and efficiency while managing data and stakeholder collaboration. The ideal candidate has over 4 years of underground hard rock mining experience and proficiency in mine design software. This position includes 14 days of work followed by 14 days off, with accommodations and meals provided on-site.

Reporting to the Engineering Coordinator, you will be part of the Engineering Department. You will be responsible for backfilling coordination, planning activities and optimization. You will act as the liaison between the Engineering, Mine Operations & the Process Plant departments regarding all backfilling related activities. You will ensure that the goals, and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Note that the official working language at Meliadine is English.
Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest;
Accommodations and meals are provided on site at no cost to the employee. Agnico Eagle provides charter flights to and from the mine site and will accommodate to cover other travelling expenses according to your location of residence in Canada.
