Job summary

A leading educational institution in Ottawa is seeking a part-time Educational Assistant to support students with exceptional needs. This role involves working closely with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and developmental disabilities, as well as modifying programs to meet individual learning requirements. The candidate should have a community college diploma and relevant experience with school-aged special needs children. Competitive hourly wage offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1-2 years of related experience with school aged special needs children.
• Valid First Aid certification / CPR Level C is required.
• Completed Non-Violent Crisis Intervention TCI and/or Behaviour Management Systems (BMS) training.

Responsibilities

• Support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and students with developmental disabilities.
• Modify programs and support learning for students with learning disabilities.
• Assist with toileting and yard duties.
