GFL Environmental Inc. in Coquitlam, BC is seeking Spare Roll-Off Truck Drivers to join our team on an on-call basis. You will operate roll-off trucks delivering waste removal services across multiple lines of business, filling in for full-time drivers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with manual transmission.
• 1–2 years of driving experience in a transportation sector.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work on-call with short notice.
• Industry experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Operate roll-off truck and ancillary equipment to collect waste on assigned routes.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports, daily truck report, route sheets and other documentation.
• Maintain route quality standards as predetermined by management.
• Follow all safety standards and equipment checks.
• Maintain clean vehicle interior and exterior.
• Report accidents or incidents to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate records of services performed.
• Work with supervisor to improve routing efficiencies.

GFL Environmental is seeking Spare Roll-Off Truck Drivers to join our Coquitlam, BC team!

Availability Requirement: Please note that this is an on-call position. To ensure operational coverage, the successful candidate must maintain open availability for dispatch 7 days a week.

License Requirement: Applicants must hold a valid Class 1 or Class 3 license with manual transmission

The Spare Roll-Off Driver will be responsible for safely, efficiently, and courteously providing waste removal services to customers across multiple lines of business on an as-needed basis. Spare Drivers support the team by filling in for full-time drivers during absences, vacations, or peak business periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate roll-off truck and ancillary equipment to collect waste on assigned routes

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip safety lane inspections and reports, daily truck report, route sheets and other documentation as requested by supervisor

• Maintain route quality standards as predetermined by management

• Follow all safety standards, equipment checks and precautions in performance of all duties

• Maintain clean vehicle by cleaning cab interior and exterior of vehicle

• Report all accidents or incidents to supervisor(s) immediately

• Exhibit a professional demeanor, manner and appearance at all times

• Maintain accurate records of services performed

• Work closely with supervisor to improve routing efficiencies

• Attend safety and branch meetings as required

• May be required to work overtime

Requirements

• Must have valid Class 1 or Class 3 License with manual transmission

• 1–2 years of driving experience in a transportation sector

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Industry experience is an asset

• Flexibility to work on-call with short notice
