This job is posted as part of our seasonal hiring for Spring/Summer 2026; it will be a full‑time seasonal role.

Role & Responsibilities
  • Assist Head Chef with all aspects of culinary operations including scheduling, training, coaching, performance management, etc.
  • Lead by example, train and coach the team to provide an excellent, memorable culinary experience.
  • Assist in sourcing, ordering and maintaining inventory of high‑quality supplies to enhance our guests’ experience.
  • Oversee the employee dining room ensuring cleanliness, food quality, and team performance.
  • Effectively resolve guest complaints and restore guest satisfaction through active listening, creative problem solving and teamwork.
  • Communicate effectively with all managers and departments to ensure coordination with Food & Beverage services, guest needs, quality control, etc.
  • Keep record of potential safety and maintenance issues and communicate details to appropriate departments.
  • Assist in creating daily specials highlighting local ingredients and Alberta‑inspired cuisine.
  • Assist team with food prep, cooking, serving, expediting and other operational duties when necessary.
  • Train and invest in culinary team’s learning and growth.
  • Assist with ordering, inventory, scheduling, etc.
  • Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of kitchen stations.
  • Maintain provincial and federal food safety standards.
  • Ensure compliance with internal SOPs and company standards.
  • Wear the proper uniform and ensure team appearance and presentation standards are upheld.
  • Assist as needed with set up of rooms for special events, meetings, conferences, and banquets.
  • Offer assistance to guests and teammates where needed.
  • Be a utility player who can complete a variety of job duties.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 1‑3 years high‑volume culinary management experience required.
  • Culinary degree or training preferred.
  • Current Food Safe certification or food handler sanitation certificate required.
  • Work‑ethic and commitment to the team and guest is key.
  • Willing and able to work solo or as part of a team.
