Job summary

Groupe Dynamite Inc. in Montréal is seeking a Sourcing Specialist to oversee production processes and coordinate with stakeholders to meet calendars and delivery schedules. The role emphasizes denim sourcing, cost analysis, and cross-functional collaboration.

The ideal candidate has 7–9 years in apparel sourcing/production, with strong knowledge of denim development, costings, and supplier management. French or English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Fashion Marketing, Fashion Design or a related field.
• 7-9 years related import and/or production experience (apparel industry).
• Extensive denim sourcing and production experience with costing, wash execution, and bulk production.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• French or English required for daily communication with suppliers, employees, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Establish the business unit sourcing strategy and adhere to it with Director support.
• Determine monthly capacity plans for suppliers within reasonable variance.
• Ensure timelines (Time & Action) are created and followed by suppliers.
• Ensure suppliers meet quality and compliance standards.
• Ensure suppliers can produce merchandise for required delivery dates.
• Analyze supplier cost breakdowns and negotiate final price.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments.
• Source new fabrics and negotiate fabric costs.
• Review all tech packs for accuracy and communicate daily with overseas suppliers.
• Provide guidance to the Import Coordinator.

Job Summary

Reporting to the Director, Sourcing, the Sourcing Specialist is responsible for applicable aspects of the production process and ensures cross-functional collaboration with all relevant stakeholders to ensure production calendar timelines are met and delivery schedules adhered to.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for establishing the business unit sourcing strategy along with Director support, and to adhere to it once established;
• Determine monthly capacity plans for the suppliers and respect them within reasonable variance;
• Ensures accurate timelines are created and adhered to by assigned suppliers (Time & Action);
• Ensures suppliers meet all requirements on quality and compliance standards;
• Ensures suppliers’ capability to produce merchandise for required delivery date;
• Analyzes cost breakdowns from suppliers and negotiates final price;
• Collaborates with cross‑functional departments;
• Sources new fabrics and negotiates fabric costs;
• Reviews all tech packages and ensures accuracy of details;
• Communicates daily with suppliers overseas;
• Provides guidance to the Import Coordinator.
