A leading food company in Peel Region, Mississauga, is seeking a Sourcing Manager for Pork to optimize procurement strategies and drive cost savings. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of experience in procurement, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in SAP and MS Excel. As the Sourcing Manager, Pork reporting to the Director, Raw Meats Procurement, we are seeking a strategic and results-driven Pork Procurement Leader to join our team. This role is responsible for sourcing raw pork to maximize fill rates for prepared meats plants while minimizing overall input costs. The successful candidate will provide leadership in supplier development, negotiations, and contract management, and will optimize hog utilization in partnership with cross‑functional teams. The role will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders including supply planning, production planning, warehousing, transportation, finance, marketing, and operations to ensure executional excellence of product aligning to our service requirements.
You will be responsible for executing the procurement strategy and identifying new value‑added initiatives to support the organization and provide procurement expertise and continuous improvement through data‑driven recommendations. This is an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic and evolving team as we expand sourcing support to increase company spend under management and deliver a value‑driven, results‑oriented service to our internal and external stakeholders. The Procurement team uses industry‑leading sourcing processes and mature e‑procurement tools to deliver significant value for the company. The successful candidate can expect to work in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment and have immediate opportunities to lead challenging strategic procurement initiatives.
