Sound Engineer (Freelance/Contract)

Location: Richmond Hill, ON (In‑Studio)

Compensation: 50% of session revenue (approximately $28.76–$57.10 per hour based on revenue).

Role Overview

We’re seeking a skilled, motivated Sound Engineer to join our roster. This is a freelance, profit‑share role with serious upside. You’ll take the lead on recording sessions, mixing, mastering, and managing client experiences. Your attention to detail, professionalism, and creative input will shape the sound of rising and established talent.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate recording sessions (vocals, instruments, spoken word).
  • Mix and master client tracks for release‑level quality.
  • Maintain studio cleanliness and manage session logistics.
  • Provide a professional, supportive experience for clients and collaborators.
  • Collaborate with team members across events, media, and brand initiatives.

  • Professional, reliable, and client‑focused.
  • Able to work independently, manage bookings, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in hip‑hop, R&B, or pop is a plus, but all genres welcome.
