Job summary

EFW Radiology is seeking qualified Ultrasound Technologists to join our team and provide exceptional patient care across multiple clinics. The role covers abdomen, Ob/Gyn, small parts, breast, and vascular ultrasound exams, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.

Reporting to the Ultrasound Supervisor, you will gather patient history, document results, and collaborate with Radiologists. A Diploma in Sonography, Sonography Canada credential, and Alberta licensure are required to practice in

Qualifications

• Diploma/certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography with clinical practicum.
• Credentialed member of Sonography Canada with liability insurance.
• Current Alberta license to practice with ACMDTT in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform abdomen, Ob/Gyn, small parts, breast and vascular ultrasound exams efficiently and accurately.
• Collect relevant patient history and prepare for scans.
• Evaluate images promptly to aid in diagnosis and ensure high-quality documentation.
• Collaborate closely with Radiologists and other team members.
• Maintain privacy and confidentiality in all processes.
• Contribute to a positive work environment through teamwork and professional conduct.

Position Status: Regular, Full-time and Part-Time (1.0 - 0.8 FTE)

EFW Radiology is currently seeking Ultrasound Technologists to join our team and contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care!

The Role:

Ultrasound Technologists perform ultrasound examinations in an efficient and effective manner while providing exceptional patient care.

Reporting to:

Ultrasound Supervisor.

Role Overview:

• Ensures exceptional patient care and experience by performing various ultrasound exams (abdomen, Ob/Gyn, small parts, breast, and vascular).
• Gathers relevant patient history and information for preparation.
• Evaluates ultrasound images promptly to aid in diagnoses.
• Completes accurate documentation for each scan.
• Collaborates closely with Radiologists.
• Maintains a positive work environment through professional conduct and strong teamwork.
• Adheres to all privacy and confidentiality policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates EFW values of Compassion, Trust, and Meaning in the workplace.
• Undertakes additional duties as assigned.

You have the following:

• Diploma or certificate from a recognized Diagnostic Medical Sonography program, including a minimum of 2 years of clinical practicum.
• Credentialed member of Sonography Canada with liability insurance.
• Valid and current registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT) and license to practice in Alberta.
• Ability to scan 12–14 cases per day, consistently obtaining good quality images.
• Committed to providing professional and compassionate patient care.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to give clear instructions and ask questions when needed.
• Strong team player comfortable interacting with other team members and working independently
• Logical, analytical, and critical thinking abilities.
• Strong computer and keyboarding skills, including a working knowledge of RIS software (including PACS).
