Job Description

With over 130 years of history, Boart Longyear is committed to safety, excellence, and technological innovation. We are currently recruiting for drillers and driller's assistants to join our team.

Job Responsibilities

  • Prioritize safety by following all policies, procedures, and legal requirements.
  • Perform duties safely, maintaining equipment and supporting co-workers.
  • Maintain the condition and longevity of site equipment and tools.
  • Potentially train new Driller Assistants in a safe environment.
  • Be physically fit for work.
  • Follow instructions from the driller or field supervisor, with routine work performed under varying guidance based on competency.
  • Adhere to EHS policies, procedures, and risk control measures.
  • Apply first aid skills when necessary.
  • Support drilling operations : handle rods and tools, collect samples, mix fluids, perform basic maintenance, housekeeping, and measurements, and refuel vehicles and equipment.
  • Operate non-drilling equipment such as vehicles, cranes, forklifts, etc., if required.
  • Ensure a safe workplace, manage risks, and prevent injuries and damage.
  • Maintain accurate records of operations, reports, and inventory.
  • Foster effective workplace relationships.
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to colleagues.

Education and Experience : Typically, a High School diploma or GED and at least 1+ years of related experience.
