Why it matters : Cybersecurity isn't just a technical issue - it’s a business imperative. From compliance and operational uptime to reputation and trust, we help organizations protect what matters most, stay ahead of threats, and build the foundation for long‑term success.

Who we need

Reporting to the Manager, Security Engineering, we are hiring a Solutions Architect, Security to join our growing Security Engineering team and help design, implement, and scale secure, compliant, and cost‑effective solutions for our clients. As our new Solutions Architect, you will serve as the bridge between clients and engineering teams, listening to client concerns, translating business and compliance requirements into actionable technical designs, and ensuring the quality, scalability, and integrity of every solution delivered.

This is a remote role based in Canada.

Who you are

You combine deep technical expertise with business insight and a consultative mindset, translating client needs into actionable, compliant solutions. You are skilled in Microsoft’s security ecosystem, including Sentinel, Defender XDR, and Purview, and apply modern DevSecOps, infrastructure as code, and security frameworks with precision.

What’s in it for you

Impact that matters. You will design and deliver secure architecture solutions that directly strengthen the cybersecurity maturity of organizations across industries. From shaping defense‑in‑depth strategies and SIEM integrations to addressing real‑world compliance challenges like SOC 2 and ISO 27001, your work will help clients build resilient, business‑aligned security frameworks that safeguard the infrastructure powering communities and industries.

Growth and opportunity. This role offers a clear technical growth path—whether you want to deepen your expertise as a Senior Consultant or progress into a Principal Consultant role leading a team of architects. As the business scales, you will have opportunities to define your career trajectory without being steered into non‑technical management.

Autonomy and influence. You will have the freedom to build processes and frameworks. Your ideas will influence how solutions are designed, integrated, and evolved across client environments. You will operate without the barriers of traditional hierarchy, your voice will be heard, and your work will directly shape the company’s cybersecurity capabilities.

As our new Solutions Architect, Security, you will :
  • Discover and architect. You will lead client discovery sessions to uncover security challenges, data flows, and business priorities and design secure, scalable architectures across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will integrate technologies such as SIEM, XDR, IAM, firewalls, and encryption to build robust, defense‑in‑depth solutions.
  • Strategize and align. You will develop tailored security strategies and roadmaps that align with industry frameworks and regulations, including NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and CCPA. Your designs will balance compliance requirements, operational realities, and cost‑effectiveness to deliver practical, business‑aligned security outcomes.
  • Lead and deliver. Acting as the bridge between clients and engineering teams, you will translate strategic objectives into actionable technical plans. You will guide implementation, ensure design integrity, and provide hands‑on support to achieve seamless deployment and integration across environments.
  • Refine and scale. You will build repeatable frameworks, documentation, and toolkits that enhance CYBERWELL’s architecture practice. By standardizing processes and capturing best practices, you will enable the team to deliver consistent, high‑quality solutions at scale.
  • Collaborate and influence. You will work closely with senior consultants, technical leaders, and client stakeholders to shape the future of CYBERWELL’s security architecture services. You will also support presales efforts and contribute to revenue growth by helping shape solutions that inspire client confidence and long‑term partnerships.
You bring :
  • The architecture expertise. You bring experience designing and implementing enterprise‑scale security solutions as a Solutions Architect. You are comfortable leading client engagements, translating complex requirements into actionable architecture, and ensuring solutions meet both technical and business goals.
  • The technical mastery. You are a subject matter expert in cybersecurity technologies, including SIEM, SOAR, firewalls, VPN, WAF, IDS / IPS, and DLP solutions. You bring deep, hands‑on experience with the Microsoft Azure Security Platform, covering Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Data Explorer, Microsoft Purview, and the M365 XDR platform, and you apply this expertise to design secure, resilient environments across hybrid infrastructures.
  • The cloud and identity leadership. You have in‑depth knowledge of identity and access management, single sign‑on, and zero‑trust principles. You understand how to architect and implement controls that protect users, systems, and data across complex environments, ensuring compliance and operational integrity.
  • The DevSecOps mindset. You are experienced in secure development and deployment practices, CI / CD pipelines, and containerization technologies. You understand how to integrate security into every stage of the development lifecycle and leverage Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or equivalent) to deliver scalable, repeatable, and secure solutions.
  • The systems and process fluency. You are comfortable working across diverse environments, bringing strong Linux system administration skills and experience with configuration management across disparate systems. You are familiar with ITSM frameworks and have an understanding of project management principles, enabling you to contribute to efficient delivery and operational excellence.
  • The problem‑solving and collaboration mindset. You think critically and act decisively when faced with complex or unfamiliar challenges. You communicate clearly and confidently, translating technical concepts for diverse audiences and building trust through partnership. You take pride in producing high‑quality architecture documentation, supporting engineering teams, and ensuring solutions are implemented to the highest standard.
What you can expect from our interview process :
  • A virtual interview with a Talent Advisor discussing your interest in the role and your experience. The conversation will be recorded using BrightHire, an AI‑powered video interview tool. More details will be shared when you are invited to interview.
  • A virtual technical interview with the Manager, Security Engineering. This will also be an opportunity to learn more about the role and projected company growth.
  • A final virtual interview with the VP Operations and an opportunity to learn more about the team and culture.
