Overview
Cisco Solution Architect role at Softchoice. We design and develop Cisco-based solutions tailored to meet customer requirements. You will collaborate with customers to understand business needs and technical requirements, creating detailed technical documentation and solution blueprints. You will scope and define the services required for architecting and deploying Cisco solutions, providing technical leadership during the sales cycle and transitioning solution design and customer needs to the engineering team for implementation.
Responsibilities
- Bring people together by acting as a bridge between the sales team and customers. Share up-to-date insights on the latest Cisco solutions, formulate approaches to address business and technical challenges, present and host workshops with business leaders, and translate technical jargon into layman's language and vice versa.
- Challenge customers by using your skills and experience to demonstrate what it takes to do the right things, providing well-researched, tailored insights to maximize outcomes.
- Increase Cisco revenue and gross profit with emphasis on Cisco products and Managed and Professional services; provide Cisco program, pricing, product, and promotion expertise in support of the sales organization.
Collaboration
- Work with all Softchoice customers, Sales team members, and Modern Infrastructure Sales Executives who drive sales around Infrastructure, Public Cloud, and Cisco technologies.
What you will do
- Partner with Sales Account Executives and Modern Infrastructure Sales Executives to engage with customers early in the sales cycle, focusing on infrastructure modernization in datacenters, public cloud, and Cisco technologies.
- Collaborate with customers to understand business needs and technical requirements.
- Design and develop Cisco-based solutions tailored to meet customer requirements.
- Create detailed technical documentation and solution blueprints.
- Scope and define services required for deploying Cisco solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance during the pre-implementation phase, ensuring the services delivery team is briefed on expected project outcomes.
- Participate in assessments and audits of existing network infrastructures to ensure designs meet customer needs.
- Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.
- Stay updated with the latest Cisco technologies and industry trends.
- Maintain relevant Cisco technical certifications in focused specialization areas.
- Collaborate with Cisco’s field sales and solution architecture teams during co-selling motions with Cisco.
What you bring to the table
- 3+ years of experience with Cisco technologies in direct selling or as a presales resource, selling technology and/or services in B2B scenarios.
- Extensive experience with Cisco networking, security, and/or collaboration technologies and solutions.
- Strong understanding of network design, application, platform, and infrastructure architectures principles and best practices.
- Curious learner, quick study, and interest in how new technologies impact customers' businesses.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing Cisco-based solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant Cisco certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) are desirable; if not certified, commitment to achieving and maintaining relevant certifications as they evolve.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Either a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
